The Floor+ Alertamat – Stereo (PAM-D) is a robust, long-life wired floor alarm mat designed to support falls prevention and patient safety in care homes, hospitals and other healthcare environments.

Positioned beside a bed or across a doorway, the Floor+ Alertamat detects when a person steps onto the mat and activates the connected alarm system. This provides carers with an early alert that a patient or resident may have left their bed or designated safe area, allowing them to check on their safety promptly.

The large 60 x 90cm mat provides generous coverage around the bedside or doorway, helping to reduce the likelihood of a user stepping over the detection area. Its light-coloured, discreet appearance also makes it particularly suitable for dementia care, where a less visually prominent mat may be less likely to be deliberately avoided.

This Stereo version features a double-ring stereo connection and is supplied with a 3-metre stereo cable for connection to a compatible nurse call system. It can also be used independently with an Alerta Alarm Monitor, sold separately, to provide a localised alert where a central nurse call system is not required.

The Floor+ Alertamat incorporates a unique built-in Y-cable, providing an additional socket for connecting another compatible Alerta device while using only one nurse call point. This gives care teams greater flexibility when creating an individual falls-prevention and patient-monitoring setup.

Built for regular use in demanding care environments, the mat features a genuine non-slip base, durable welded seals, strong wiring and hygienic antibacterial material that is easy to clean. The breakaway cable connection helps reduce the potential for trips and helps protect the mat and connection from damage if the cable is pulled.

The Wired Floor+ Alertamat is a robust long-life Alertamat and is most effective when placed at the bedside or doorway; activating the alarm when a user leaves their safe zone by stepping on the mat. This alerts the caregiver to ascertain the user's safety. The light colour makes it an ideal solution for situations where a dementia user may try to avoid the mat.
