Low profiling beds are designed for people who may be at risk of falling out of bed. Because they can be lowered closer to the floor than a standard profiling bed, they help reduce the distance—and potentially the impact—of a fall.
Our electric low profiling beds are suitable for care homes, nursing homes and people receiving care at home. Each bed has an adjustable backrest, leg rest and height setting, making it easier for the user to find a comfortable position. The bed can also be raised to a more suitable working height when carers are providing personal care or helping with repositioning.

Choosing the right low profiling bed
When choosing a low care bed, consider the minimum and maximum height, the user’s weight, the available space and whether side rails are required. You should also check that the bed is compatible with the type of foam, hybrid or dynamic mattress the user needs.
A low profiling bed can help manage the risks associated with falling from bed, but it cannot prevent every fall. The bed, mattress, side rails and any fall mats or monitoring equipment should be chosen as part of an individual care and risk assessment.
